For the 4th year, Mike and Bobbye Garrity, Terry Gant, and Prentiss Jones put together a feast to feed the homeless. With items such as fresh cooked turkey and homemade dressing, green beans, sweet potatoes, giblet gravy, and cranberry sauce, no one left hungry. They spent many hours in their kitchens getting all of these items ready to feed people that don’t always get a hot home cooked meal on a holiday. It is truly a labor of love. Huey’s Germantown and Huey’s Collierville worked together and entered a single float in both the Germantown and Collierville Christmas Parades. The float’s theme, “Santa’s Workshop When Santa is not Around”, was designed and built by Huey’s employees with assistance from Shane Burton from Burton Construction. Some of Huey’s employees dressed up as reindeer and some of their children were dressed up as elves on the float! Huey’s float won 1st place in both parades! Our Huey’s Hotfooters team had a great walk on a gorgeous day at the Making Strides Breast Cancer Walk on Sunday October 23rd! We are so proud to be a part of this event where we raised a total of $835! We joined this 5K walk with 12,000 other walkers at the Liberty Bowl on Sunday. The Making Strides Walk of Memphis raised almost $500,000 to help the American Cancer Society save lives from breast cancer. Incredible!
We are excited to announce that Huey’s will be hosting the Thomas Boggs Memorial 23rd Bi-Annual Earthquake Open on Friday, November 4th. Thomas liked having the golf tournament in the later months of the year, hoping it would be cold and rainy. We hope this year will be no different!
