If you haven’t been living under a rock for the last year or two, you know that Overton Square is making a huge comeback, and the effects of this incredible revitalization is trickling down Madison Avenue. Our original Huey’s location is located on Madison, off Tucker, and we couldn’t be more proud to be on the most happening street in Memphis. This street has it all: arts and culture, restaurants, nightlife, live music, parks, retail, fitness, and more in a super pedestrian and bike friendly way. Because of the fulfillment we get in operating on this street, we are proud members...Read More
Huey’s is a proud, Memphis institution. We’re proud of our staff, food, atmosphere, and amazing customers. We are also proud of our home, our Memphis. We all know Memphis has many great qualities, and we could sit and discuss them all day. Just recently there was a great blog post by Lance Weidower highlighting many of these, with the comment section highlighting even more. A great example is the incredible revitalization our city is undergoing as we speak, an admirable task with efforts from many. We should all keep bragging about our development, restaurants, parks, sports, industry, arts, and more. At Huey’s, we love...Read More
Down to Earth Fest at Shelby Farms Park was an absolute success this past weekend! We were excited to spend the beautiful day out in the park, having fun and supporting Shelby Farms Park Conservancy at the same time. We hosted a Huey’s Kids Zone booth, where we played with bubbles, hosted a frill pick shooting game, and colored on a “graffiti wall”. Here are some photos of our fun. You can see the whole photo album on our Facebook page. Even the puppies had a blast. Watch how much they enjoyed the bubbles too: We hope you all have...Read More

We had a blast volunteering for Steak-n-Burger night for the eleventh year in a row at Minglewood Hall, benefiting Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Memphis. Our Huey’s team served up burgers to all the grown-ups and steaks to all the kids. We are looking forward to year #12!
Ever wonder why we have so many darned frill picks in our ceilings at Huey’s? Ever wondered how they get up there? We understand the frustration our customers experience when they try again and again to shoot their frill picks into our ceiling but can never seem to make it. Take some tips from the experts, and watch this how-to video on how to perfectly stick your frill pick in the ceiling every time.
Our staff is the reason we continue to be successful, and we want to make sure you all get to know them well. Today’s blog post is dedicated to Leigh Anne Brewer, better known to us as LaLa, who is a driving force behind our success at Huey’s! Leigh Anne has been working at Huey’s for 8 years. She started in April 2006, and we have loved her ever since. You may recognize her face from Huey’s Poplar, where she is a server, bartender, and server trainer. She also sometimes works as a sub at our Midtown location, which she...Read More
This was the inaugural year for Mix-Odyssey, a fundraiser for Volunteer Odyssey. We were so excited to be a part of the first crew! Mix-Odyssey was held at the Jack Robinson Gallery Downtown, and it featured 7 mixologists and their 7 signature drinks. Mixologists prepared drink samples for everyone in the crowd, to vote for a crowd favorite, as well as 3 drinks for a panel of expert judges. Our drink was The Dragon Pick. It placed in crowd favorite! Here’s the recipe, for anyone who is interested in making their own Dragon Pick at home. Ingredients: 1/2 oz Bacardi...Read More

We were very excited to once again be involved in The Polar Bear Plunge, benefiting Special Olympics of Greater Memphis. This year, we had both a plunging team and a chili cook-off team! It was a full day of fun, and we were able to raise a total of $632.00 for the organization! Check out our photo album on Facebook to see all of our photos from the day!
