Anna Cade is truly one of a kind. She is selfless, vivacious and brings a joyful spirit anywhere she goes.

When she’s not leading as the head server at Huey’s Poplar (East Memphis), you can find Anna spending time with her daughter and husband, who is also a longtime Huey’s employee. Anna was three months pregnant when she first started working at Huey’s, which means her daughter has grown up in the Huey’s family just as long as Anna has!

Anna said it’s hard to measure what a huge impact Huey’s has had on her life. When she first started, she recalls being a little hesitant about getting into the charitable giving spirit that is widespread at Huey’s. But over time, the joy of giving back to the community became an integral part of her life. In fact, Anna has helped lead her store’s annual holiday charitable giving efforts for many years.

“Seeing the joy that giving back brings to others, and feeling that joy myself, made me realize how much impact one person can have on their community,” she noted. “Lessons like these have truly helped make me and my family better people.”

There are so many wonderful aspects that come with working at Huey’s, but having great benefits is one of the things Anna is most grateful for. She even jokes that her daughter wouldn’t have braces without Huey’s.

“Huey’s really is like a second family to me,” she noted. “Even though we have grown so much over the years, they treat all of us with the utmost respect.”

She recalls meeting longtime Huey’s owner Thomas Boggs when she first started and what a fun presence he was to be around. “Though he is no longer with us, I know Thomas would be so incredibly proud of what his children have accomplished for the company and the community,” Anna said. “I know he’s smiling down on all of us from above.

The Boggs family has been such a blessing in my life. I’ll never be able to thank them enough for all the love, care and lessons they’ve shared with me over all these years. In many ways, they’ve almost been more like parents for me. They have always wanted what’s best for me – personally and professionally – and have gone above and beyond to help me in so many ways. I couldn’t be more grateful for all they have done for me over the years.”

It’s been such a blessing to have had her in the Huey’s family for so many years. We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see what the future has in store for you, Anna!
