Chassity Walls is a Memphis native and Huey’s veteran of 15 years. She leads a busy life as a proud mother of two lovely girls, Cassidy and Chloe. She is also engaged to the love of her life, Terrance, who has been in her life for more than 5 years. Although they haven’t set a date, the happy couple is planning for their big day sometime next year.
When she’s not at work or spending time with her kids or fiancé, you might find Chassity shopping, eating at her favorite local restaurants, cooking at home, going to the spa or spending time with her mother and older sister. As if she didn’t have enough going on, Chassity has also taken up a new passion project of dispatching for 18-wheelers after completing her training last year!
Like her fellow Huey’s Honoree Nikki Abraham, Huey’s has been Chassity’s first and only job. She started when she was just 16 being interviewed by Samantha Boggs Dean when she was doing a summer program with Bridges.
Chassity started with humble beginnings of filling condiment cups in the kitchen at Huey’s Midtown alongside longtime Huey’s employees like Kathy Neil and Terry Gant. But in 2015, Chassity went into management, serving as a floating kitchen manager for a couple of years before settling down at Huey’s Downtown where she currently serves as its kitchen manager.
“It’s been awesome being part of a company with 10 locations that’s still local,” she noted. “I’m so grateful to be part of a team who is there for your at your highest moments and will be there to support you in your lowest.”
She recalls being a new mother in 2009 and learning that her daughter needed a tracheotomy. Her Huey’s family was there for her without asking and remembers some of her coworkers even bringing stuff for them up to the hospital. “Acts of kindness like that are things that I will never forget,” she said.
During her many years at Huey’s, Chassity has enjoyed spending time getting to know the Boggs family. “I really appreciate that I’ve been able to voice any concerns over the years and know that they’ll be there to listen,” Chassity said.
We’re so grateful to have had you in the Huey’s family for 15 wonderful years (and counting)! Congratulations, Chassity!
