Ed Haaga is a 10-year Huey’s veteran who is always on the go. He loves spending time with his wife and son – Rachel and Luke – running, exercising, and working as a home inspector on the side.
He also enjoys participating in events with Huey’s like the Beale Street Wine Race and Taste of CBHS.
He and his wife also enjoy going to local sporting events, especially when rivalries heat up between their alma maters, the University of Tennessee and the University of Memphis, respectively.
Many people talk about the ‘Huey’s family,’ and that family atmosphere has never been more important than for Ed. “Huey’s has been part of my life in so many major ways. I met my wife working at Huey’s Poplar and have built so many lasting friendships here over the years.”
He currently bartends at Huey’s Germantown and has previously served and worked in management roles at other Huey’s locations.
He loves working in the restaurant industry because of the freedom and flexibility but says that Huey’s is definitely one of a kind. “I’m so grateful to have management that listens to our concerns and treats us like family,” he said.
“I can’t say enough how incredible the Boggs sisters have been to me and how supportive they’ve been for my wife and I ever since we became part of the Huey’s family,” he noted. “They even let me take time to finish my goal of hiking the Appalachian Trail!”
Thank you so much for 10 amazing years, Ed! We are so grateful for all you do!
