Marsha Washington, or “Mamma Marsha” as she’s known by her coworkers, has been with Huey’s for 10 wonderful years.

When she’s not creating delicious dishes at Huey’s, she enjoys spending time with her three children and 10 grandchildren and cheering on her favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. “GO COWBOYS!” Marsha is the life of the party and loves music and dancing. She especially loves getting to jam out to live music every Sunday at Huey’s Poplar (East Memphis), especially her favorite band, the Settlers.

Marsha knows her way around a kitchen and is a pro when it comes to serving up some mouthwatering meals for Huey’s customers. “I love being able to make food that brings so much joy to our wonderful customers. After all, we wouldn’t be here without them,” she said.

Marsha has worked at many of Huey’s 10 locations but currently calls Huey’s Poplar (East Memphis) home. She loves helping others and is always willing to lend a hand to her coworkers when needed.

“Huey’s is just a great place to work,” Marsha said. “They welcome everyone in, have great benefits and are always there to help you out if you’re going through a hard time.” She loves Huey’s so much, she’s even convinced numerous friends and family to join the Huey’s family.

Marsha noted that the fun atmosphere at Huey’s and all the wonderful people have kept her here after all these years. She loves the family-like vibe that’s unique to Huey’s, where employees of all backgrounds and types of positions get along and have fun together.

“It takes no time at all for new employees to be welcomed into the Huey’s family – and once you are part of the family, you are in the Huey’s family for life,” she said.

Thank you for being part of the Huey’s family, Marsha! It wouldn’t be the same without you!
