Pete Edward Peterson, Huey’s Collierville Bartender, has been employed at Huey’s for 15 years. We’re thrilled to introduce him to you and say “thank you” for 15 years of teamwork, fun, blues, brews and burgers!

What has been your favorite part about working at Huey’s?

Probably just the customers, the regulars. I’ve bartended for the last 10 out of 15 years I’ve been there. The relationships you make with your regulars are awesome. You see it everywhere. You go to Germantown, Germantown has it’s people. You go to Midtown, and Midtown has regulars that have been coming since the place has opened. We all have our unique personalities, and that’s what makes it.

I would say that it’s been a blast. That’s why I’m still here. I enjoy doing it. I enjoy the people I work with, and it’s been crazy to see some of the people come and go. It’s been an awesome place to work. Anyone that gets the opportunity to work at Huey’s should do it because it’s definitely the best restaurant atmosphere you can work in.

What’s the best part of working in the restaurant industry?

The people. Huey’s is different, though, and has its own unique kind of vibe to it. I don’t think what we have is everywhere. We have that bond. It’s relaxed yet fast-paced, and you build relationships with everyone. It’s a unique place to work.

What’s your best memory from your time at Huey’s?

My favorite memories from Huey’s are the two years that Collierville participated in the Collierville Christmas parade. That was a lot of fun. Those were just good times. I was in college, and I had like seven fraternity brothers who worked there at the same time. It was a cool experience.

What is a fun fact about you?

I love all of the outdoors. I love hiking. Whenever my wife and I take a trip, the one thing we look for is something outdoors.
