Huey’s is a proud sponsor of Rock For Love and big supporter of Church Health Center. Each year, we participate in this fun event, one of the Church Health Center’s biggest fundraisers all year along.
Our participation this year was two-fold: We hosted the Kick-Off Show and joined in the fun during the Kid’s Show.
Huey’s Midtown hosted the Kick-Off Show the Sunday before the music festival began on August 31st. The Chaulkies jammed from 4pm-7pm. Church Health Center was present to pump up the show and give away swag, and we ran beer specials that day to raise an extra $268.00 donation bonus back to the organization!
We also hosted a Huey’s Kids Zone play area during the Saturday afternoon show, and we had a blast. It rained some, but that did not take our fun away! We played frill pick shooting games, colored on a “graffiti wall”, and blew bubbles, all while dancing to the music line-up on the Overton Square Courtyard stage.
We’re happy to volunteer and get involved in such a fun event, and we hope you will join in the fun with us next year!
