JOB DESCRIPTIONS

(MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS)

BARTENDERS

A bartender mixes and serves alcoholic beverages based on customer requests. Their duties include verifying the identification and age of customers, preparing and serving alcoholic beverages, accepting payment from customers, cleaning glasses and bar utensils, etc.

LINE COOKS

Line cooks are the restaurant employees who prepare Huey’s signature food. They receive orders from the expeditor (expo), prepare the order and provide a safe and healthy eating experience in a timely and efficient manner.

PREP COOKS

A prep cook is responsible for the preparation of ingredients and stations used in the cooking process, as well as maintaining the kitchen and ensuring it is clean and sanitized. A prep cook is also known as a food preparation worker.

SERVER

Servers are responsible for providing quick, friendly service to all customers. Promptly greet tables, take and deliver food and beverage orders. Servers also must know the product to give customers detailed information to help them make a selection.

EXPEDITOR (OR EXPO)

An Expediter (or Expo) is the liaison between the wait staff and the kitchen. The wait staff directs all comments, requests, questions and special instructions to the Expo, who, then addresses the kitchen. The Expo is the only person to communicate with the kitchen during peak times. Must be friendly to all employees. Expos ensure the expediting area (or window) stays clean and stocked and ensure quality control of the food. An Expo must possess a thorough knowledge of the entire menu and ability to recognize all the food coming from the kitchen.

TAKEOUT / FOOD RUNNER

A Food Runner has several responsibilities. They serve as assistants to the servers and their main duty is to deliver or "run" food to tables once a food order has been prepared by the cooks. In addition, the Food Runner will greet guests at the door, bus tables, ensure quality control of the food, filling ice bins, maintain restaurant cleanliness, and other duties as assigned.

TO-GO ATTENDANTS

A Food Runner has several responsibilities. They serve as assistants to the servers and their main duty is to deliver or "run" food to tables once a food order has been prepared by the cooks. HOST/HOSTESSES

A Host greets customers upon arrival, provides menu or directs customers to access digital menu, and assists servers and bartenders during down time.
