For the 4th year, Mike and Bobbye Garrity, Terry Gant, and Prentiss Jones put together a feast to feed the homeless.  With items such as fresh cooked turkey and homemade dressing, green beans, sweet potatoes, giblet gravy, and cranberry sauce, no one left hungry.  They spent many hours in their kitchens getting all of these items ready to feed people that don’t always get a hot home cooked meal on a holiday.  It is truly a labor of love.

With the help of 40- 50 volunteers from all of the Huey’s locations, they ended up feeding over 150 people. Boxes of coats, boots, scarfs, etc, were donated from employees to hand out as well. A volunteer from Mississippi sewed handmade bags for the homeless to take their items in. “We have so many cool stories and we all had a blast! Loving on people is what Christmas is all about!” explained Bobbye McGarrity. She gets excited this time of year to be able to do something special for people in need.
