Meet Nikki. You might recognize her as one of our Downtown servers.
What you might not know is that Nikki has been with Huey’s for 15 years and worked at three different locations. Nikki started at Huey’s in 1997, working at our Midtown location. Then, when Huey’s East (now closed) opened, she began working there as well. She followed suit when Downtown opened, then working at all three locations simultaneously. Now, though she has a house in Midtown, Nikki calls Huey’s Downtown home.
Nikki would be a finalist if Huey’s had a Miss Congeniality pageant. She is warm and friendly to everyone she meets, making you feel right at home no matter where you are. Her General Manager Jimmy describes her as “lively and vivacious”. From her history with us, she is also loyal, dedicated, and a very hard worker. This is why she is our Head Server Downtown.
Nikki is also an active participant in many community events. She helps us raise money for many organizations. She also participates in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk every year. In 2001, she was our Queen of the Vine for the Great Beale Street Wine Race. She helps organize and gather presents for our Hope House fundraiser around Christmastime. On top of all of this, she is one of our go-to employees when we need miscellaneous errands run for the stores.
Nikki was raised in a Huey’s household, as her cousins Sherita, Chris, and Taz all worked for us as well.
Nikki is a graduate of Central High School, class of 1997. She also graduated from University of Memphis in 2004, with a major in Psychology and a minor in Sociology.
When not at work, Nikki is taking care of her beautiful children Judah (age 5) and Layla (age 1). She also loves hanging out and catching up with girlfriends.
If Nikki had to recommend one thing on our menu to customers, it would be the Bluff City Burger. There is just something about that burger that makes everyone go crazy for it.
