Sara Rhoton has been a server at Huey’s Downtown for 10 years now. You can typically find her crushing a crossword puzzle, hustling every day on the job, and being an amazing team player. Check out her story below!

What has been your favorite part about working at Huey’s?

My favorite part of Huey’s is definitely the friendships that I’ve made. I’ve made a lot of lifelong friendships. I’ve got to experience life with them. Weddings, births and deaths. Relationships like that just make it a little more special.

What’s the best part of working in the restaurant industry?

I love the hustle and bustle of it. The constant go-go-go. And the business. I don’t think I could do an office job where I sit. You get to meet and experience different people from all over the world. We see all different kinds of people Downtown. Some very cool people, a few celebrities. We met David Arquette a few weeks ago, and he told me I was sweet. So that’s a highlight of my year right there.

What is a fun fact about you?

I’m really good at hangman and crossword puzzels. I have a three-month old puppy, half pit and half beagle. I also have two kids, 12 and 14.

What’s your best memory from your time at Huey’s?

When Joe Clark was our General Manager, we did Hawaiian shirt day. It was the middle of July, they were filming a Christmas movie on main street, and a couple of us walked down there in our Hawaiian shirts. That was a fun day.
